Sharon’s background is as a professional classical dancer in the UK, Europe and The Far East, and she also performed for HRH Queen Elizabeth II. She moved from the ballet world to musical theatre in London’s ‘West End’ and The Royal Shakespeare Company to television, commercials, pop videos, voice-over work, modelling and movies.


She then became certified as a personal trainer and aerobics instructor in the UK, working in gyms, sports centres and for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.


Having travelled the world Sharon set up home in Ottawa, Canada where she studied for 2 years at medical college and worked as a fully registered sports therapist in hospitals, clinics and spa’s.  She is experienced in designing exercise & rehabilitation programmes to help clients and patients to optimum health. In addition, Sharon studied and attained her Master/Teacher Usui and Karuna Reiki which she now teaches.


Yoga has always been an integral part of her life since she was a dancer in London. She has a daily practice & continues to study all around the world. Sharon is qualified through Yoga Alliance & The International Society of Vedic & Yogic Sciences. Having taught Yoga for many years, her own teachers have included Dharma Mittra, Yogi Sivadas, Sean Corn, Sarah Powers, David Nichtern. And most recently in New York with the inspirational Mathew Sanford working with physical disabilities & with Tari Prinster studying Yoga for Cancer. Sharon also studied Meditation at the Osho Meditation Centre and at the retreat of His Holiness The Dali Lama in India. Sally Kempton & Ajahn Succitto have been huge influences for Sharon to listen & learn from. She recently continued to study the 8 week Mindfulness Meditation course at Bangor University and is a guest Meditation Instructor at InstructorLive in London.


It is a blessing to have returned to the UK and created The Lotus in September 2013, to share and to offer the benefits of Yoga, Meditation and Reiki to others.
